Weekend Rubbernecker

April 17, 2020

How many times does it seem like the Universe has it in for you? Like
there’s a function in Universe OS whose purpose is to throw the worst
junk at you. And that function is stuck in an endless loop.

You keeping smashing the ESC key, but no luck. The loop continues.

Will it blow your mind if I tell you that the Universe isn’t out to get you?

It’s true. The Universe is neutral. What happens to you is neither good
nor bad. That function to mess with you doesn’t exist.

What makes an event good or bad is your attitude. Yep, take
responsibility because it’s all on you.

You see, you don’t have a lot of control over what happens to you. But
the one thing you control is your mind.

When something unexpected happens, it’s your choice of how you
respond.

Is that thing an opportunity, or is it an obstacle? Is it good or bad?

If the weather delays your flight, you have a choice. Get angry or
accept the situation.

Getting angry won’t change anything. The person at the airline desk
can’t control the weather.

But you could use that time to make phone calls or answer emails.

Learn to take control of the situation. You’ll be happier.

Get started taking control of the situation with the week’s
Weekend Rubbernecker.

Thanks,
Scott
